Since its launch in 2017, Global Fashion Collective has allowed established designers and young creatives to present their collections at various showcases and fashion shows around the world. Now, the expansion of Vancouver Fashion Week, which has become one of the most exciting talent platforms on the international fashion scene, lands for the first time at Milan Fashion Week. Just a few days after taking part in New York Fashion Week and just one week before heading to Paris, the GFC x MFW showcase will feature four international designers from Mexico, South Korea and Canada on September 25.
But, who can we see on the catwalk next Sunday? There will be four projects that will reveal their latest works at this event on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week: CEDIM The School of Design, Leesle, Faun Studio and BlueTamburin. In the fashion show led by CEDIM The School of Design, founded by Alejandro García Villarreal and specialised in teaching arts, design, innovation and business in Mexico since 1978, seven students will present their projects. They are Alessandra Garfias, Karime Payan, Katya Razan, Lorena de la Garza, Norma Cota, Paulina Villarreal Martinez and Valeria San Miguel. Leesle bets on a neo-modern perspective and has established itself as a rising star in Korean design thanks to the perseverance and work of its creative director, Leesle Hwang.

Hailing from Calgary, Faun Studio was created by Marisa P. Clark five years ago and she comes to GFC x MFW after being voted the winner amongst Canada's leading designers in Vote Couture for the Cure, for her one-of-a-kind dress crafted entirely out of toilet paper. And then the Korean brand BlueTamburin, created by designer Bomin Kim with the brand philosophy of “support beauty in mind, reveal the beauty to the world.” Now we just have to wait for Sunday to see their latest collections, and find out more about Global Fashion Collective's debut at Milan Fashion Week after having previously presented at New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week and Tokyo Fashion Week.
