A café terrace, pavements, and the Eiffel Tower. Something in the air is shifting, and after the waves and the sun, the fall/winter season is upon us. What better way to anticipate it than with a new Chanel campaign fronted by Mona Tougaard and photographed by Mikael Jansson?
We can't escape the bittersweet feeling; sooner than later we will enter the denial phase of leaving summer behind, but the chic Parisian looks of the colder weather seem to be a good way to give us motivation to face the drop of temperatures. Chanel upgrades its iconic tweed sets and layers them with the perfect complements, ready for a fall look.
The collection itself is a game in optical illusion and reinvention. Tougaard showcases pieces like a deconstructed black tweed cape that ingeniously opens to reveal a mini dress and a tweeded tulle waistcoat embroidered with sequins layered over a crisp white blouse; this might be Chanel's way to say that this fall it’s all about styling!
Beyond the garments, accessories take centre stage, reimagining the maison's codes with unexpected twists. Pearls, bows, and chains are reinterpreted through innovative volumes and designs. We see close-ups of ankle boots featuring elegant velvet bows and a pearl-shaped heel subtly signed with the double C. A grand bow transforms into an XL tote, while an oversized chain becomes a powerful graphic element. Bags range from mini to maxi, with versatile options, including a striking metallic gold elongated version.
The Fall-Winter 2025/26 ready-to-wear collection will be available in Chanel boutiques in September 2025.
