If there is a city that makes you feel the weight of History (yes, with a capital H) on your shoulders, that is Rome: the architecture, the paintings, the sculptures, the monuments. Furthermore, when you think of Italian art, dozens of names come to mind: Botticelli, Visconti, Alighieri, Pasolini, Michelangelo, Fellini… too many to write here. Gabrielle Chanel discovered the country in the summer of 1920, and since then, she went back multiple times, strengthening her relationship with the creatives there. That’s why Matthieu Blazy has decided to show the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2027 show in Rome, the Eternal City. Taking place on 2 December, 2026, the new show of the Maison will showcase the talent of the Belgian designer, who’s been able to refresh Chanel’s codes while staying true to its identity.
