Summer is here, and it calls for pastels, throw-on basics, and flattering swimwear. Many of us are—or wish we were—vacationing, and Chanel knows it. The Chanel Coco Beach collection comes just in time, with its easy glamour and asymmetry, ready to bring beachside fantasies to life.
A star of the collection is a golden, asymmetrical swimsuit adorned with a jewel fastening at the back, catching the sunlight as you lounge by the pool or stroll along the beach. For those seeking a splash of playfulness, Chanel reimagines the classic sailor top into a stripy swimsuit that nods to Gabrielle Chanel. The collection also features a pastel strapless swimsuit paired with matching denim shorts for a laid-back but sophisticated look. For a touch of romance, there’s a peach and coral bikini.
Coco Beach doesn’t stop at swimwear. Think a black and pink jumpsuit with fine vertical stripes and a coated canvas parka for breezy beach days. The Maison’s classic black and white color duo is expressed in a black zip-up jacket and white openwork cotton jersey shorts. For an evening twist, a striped bikini top comes together under dark trousers with braces.
Accessories play a notable role as well, with hoop earrings, necklaces, and cuff bracelets featuring the iconic gold double Cs. Complementing every beach look are striped towels, a denim belt bag, a woven raffia-effect tote bag, and a large yellow terry beach bag. Don’t forget the oversized pastel sunglasses, essential for island afternoons in the sun.
Captured by Cass Bird, the campaign film featuring model Olivia Vinten is a visual extension of the collection’s textile component. Set against backdrops of rocky shores, colorful cottages, and turquoise swimming pools, each shot is a postcard from a Mediterranean vacation. Sun-splashed and golden, the film celebrates the spirit of carefree elegance and a love for the seaside.
Launched in Chanel’s seasonal boutiques on May 15 and available in all Chanel boutiques by mid-June, the Coco Beach collection is ready to make this summer unique.
