After a five-year hiatus, Calvin Klein is making a significant return to the runway with the appointment of Veronica Leoni as the new Creative Director of Collection. This marks a significant moment for the brand, which has had the position empty since Belgian designer Raf Simons departed in 2018. Leoni’s first collection, debuting in the Fall/Winter 2025 season, will encompass men’s and women’s apparel, underwear, and accessories.
Leoni, the founder of Quira and a 2023 LVMH Prize finalist, brings a distinguished background to Calvin Klein. Her resume boasts positions at top fashion houses including Jil Sander, Céline (under Phoebe Philo), Moncler, and The Row. In her new role, Leoni will infuse Calvin Klein's modern aesthetic with her extensive industry expertise and fresh vision. Reporting directly to Global Brand President, Eva Serrano, she will ensure her innovative designs enhance both the mainline portfolio and red carpet offerings.
“I’m thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to write a new chapter in the Calvin Klein story. For decades, Calvin Klein has embodied bold self-expression, and I am eager to amplify this with a strong focus on style and creativitym” Leoni expressed. Her appointment marks a critical step in a series of strategic moves by Serrano to maintain Calvin Klein’s legacy and attract the next generation of consumers. Her vision and ambition are expected to fortify the brand’s foundation, making Calvin Klein one of the most sought-after lifestyle brands globally after involving themselves with huge names in their latest campaigns, like Jungkook, Jennie Kim, Alexa Demie, Kid Cudi, and more.
