Known for years for its beauty products (fragrances, lipsticks, creams, and personal care items), Byredo has been expanding its creative language beyond beauty for some time now. Jewellery has become one of these new areas of exploration, and Virasaat is one of the clearest expressions of this shift. The name, taken from Hindi and translated as ‘inheritance,’ points directly to the idea behind the collection: pieces designed not only to embellish, but to stay with the individual and change meaning over time.
In 2026, Virasaat evolves through scale with two new limited editions, Jumbo and Mini. Both are made of the same materials (925 sterling silver and gold-plated vermeil, manufactured in Italy) and share the same formal DNA, but they relate differently to the body. The Jumbo pieces impose themselves through their volume and presence, with rings, necklaces and earrings that border on the sculptural and occupy space with an almost architectural precision. The Mini pieces, on the other hand, reduce those same shapes to a more intimate dimension, where the gesture is more personal and the details are revealed little by little.
More than two opposing lines, Jumbo and Mini work as a dialogue: expansion and restraint, visibility and proximity. This tension reinforces the symbolic nature of the pieces and emphasises the idea that jewellery is not complete until someone wears it. The collection is also presented in a new box finished with kantha stitching, conceived as an extension of the object and its enduring nature. Virasaat Mini & Jumbo will be available from 19 February on their website and in selected brand stores worldwide.
