What have we got on Katy Perry, Hugo Ekitike, and Yao Chen? Well, they are starring in the latest Balenciaga sneaker campaign — and honestly, it’s one of the most compelling footwear drops of the season. Under new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, who stepped into the role following Demna’s departure, Balenciaga is relaunching its sneaker philosophy with two new silhouettes: the Radar and the Triple S.2.
The Radar is the sleeker of the two: A streamlined, versatile style built with a 360-degree lacing system that wraps the entire foot for a locked-in fit. The Triple S.2, meanwhile, is the evolution of one of the House’s most recognisable shoes. It keeps the chunky DNA of the original but refines it into something more polished and wearable for 2026.
The campaign, shot in stills by Mark Peckmezian and on video by Mitch Ryan, brings together a trio that couldn’t feel more intentionally chosen. Singer Katy Perry, footballer Hugo Ekitike, and actress Yao Chen each appear alongside the new sneakers, styled with TechWear looks and pieces from the Fall 26 collection. To accompany the launch, Balenciaga has also dropped a series of exclusive playlists (the actual music each talent listens to during their real-life workouts) available to stream on the brand’s official music social channels.
