We are getting ready to finally say goodbye to 2020, a year in which we have spent more time than ever at home. However, cancelled plans, postponed flights and deferred trips seem to be gradually back in 2021, and The North Face x Gucci collection wants us to be ready for it! The Italian fashion house joins forces with the brand at the forefront of expedition and adventure to embark on an exciting journey that takes off from the Alps at the rhythm of Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival, which brings us to the '70s, Alessandro Michele’s favourite decade.
The North Face and Gucci had not worked together before, but they both have shown a real commitment to sustainability and a restless mind focused on exploring and creating, for example, the American brand founded in San Francisco in 1966 is responsible for spreading this open-minded philosophy across the globe. The campaign, created by Alessandro Michele and photographer Daniel Shea, invites us to be part of a captivating universe defined by contact with nature.

This perfect tandem which has designed a new logo for the occasion, printed on different garments, where we find floral print jackets, padded jumpsuits, skirts and tie-neck shirts. And there is room even for travel accessories, from patterned backpacks to colourful tents and sleeping bags, they all contain Econyl, a nylon fabric made from fishing nets and other wastes. A preview of an essential collection for outdoor adventure enthusiasts which will be released at the end of December in China and unveiled in January in the rest of the world through Gucci Pins, ephemeral stores especially decorated for the occasion. In addition, The North Face x Gucci will hit the streets in the shape of different Gucci Artwalls inspired by the motifs of the collection in five cities: Hong Kong, London, Shanghai, New York and Milan. Personality and distinction to welcome the new year.
