It’s compulsory: if you visit Tokyo, you must go to T-site in Daikanyama. Inside this quiet and luxurious neighbourhood, this is an elite space with no pomposity. The T-site is a place for spending the whole afternoon letting yourself go among the great variety of national and international magazines, a place where you can explore every kind of auteur publications and walk among small photography and design exhibitions.

It exudes elegance, calm and comfort everywhere. There’s nothing like enjoying a cocktail in the Anjin bar at sunset or losing yourself on its corners full of warm lights, wooden shelves and jazz music to finally relax on one of its terraces on a Sunday afternoon, while having a good coffee or a sweet matcha latte – my last Starbucks addition.

This is just my experience, but there are still exclusive fashion and technology stores left to explore, a garden that surrounds the whole complex and weekly events such as concerts, vintage cars showings or books presentations. It’s a sample to enjoy Tokyo beyond its futuristic and freak exoticism.
