Fresh sounds, unexpected blends and introspective vibes. After Lies, Selbor is again showing his forever-curious approach to his sound and identity through Mensaje. He is based in London but was born and raised in Spain. His upcoming album was written and recorded between Sevilla, Berlin and London, which is why his latest release Mensaje evokes a mix of flamenco, electronica and indie dance music.
For example, when it comes to London, he's deeply inspired by Cristina Iglesia’s Forgotten Streams sculpture which evokes the lost rivers of London. And for Sevilla, he is, of course, inspired by flamenco, as the track is made up of a combination of flamenco clapping, train rattling samples and a broken melody coming from the beating of dulcimer strings. The icing on the cake for this brand new track definitely is the cover of the single and his debut album, a unique collaboration with the well-respected sculptor and 3D designer Déboras.
