Fashion’s favourite Japanese brand Sacai has joined forces with workwear giant Carhartt WIP to develop a joint 2023 Autumn collection. First debuted during Paris Fashion Week in January, the collection is set to launch worldwide on September 8th. Leading the charge in this creative endeavour is Chitose Abe, the visionary designer behind Sacai. Known for her expertise in hybrid dressing, Abe has seamlessly merged workwear aesthetics with high-end contemporary streetwear brining together Carhartt's signature ruggedness with Sacai's innovative design approach.

The collection offers elevated work on Carhartt’s iconic duck fabric jackets, knitwear, pleated skirts, and cropped bomber jackets. The colour palette, consisting of muted black, light blue, and beige tones, reflects the shared affinity of both Sacai and Carhartt WIP. The collection arrives in perfect time to bring the quiet luxury trend into your daily streetwear rotation. Standout pieces include a light blue wool-braided cardigan adorned with co-branded Sacai x Carhartt WIP accents, a long multi-layered hooded overcoat, and a cropped black bomber jacket featuring corduroy accents on the collar and hem. By incorporating knit techniques and playing with layers and muted colours, Sacai and Carhartt have created a collection that both deconstructs and unifies the two brands in a refreshing and coherent manner.

To celebrate the launch of the collection, a special pop-up event will be held at DSML (Dover Street Market London) starting on September 6th. Additionally, Belowground in Hong Kong and Shanghai Taikoo Li Qiantan will host the collection starting from September 7th.
