It seems like athleisure is still as strong as ever, proving that it’s more than just a fad, as the beautifully minimalistic and detailed Victoria Beckham has put her own twist on this approach. This marks her second collection in collaboration with famed sportswear brand Reebok for Spring 2019 (she first did a capsule collection with Shaquille O’Neal), which offers a clean, simple and still fresh look that turns activewear on its head.
The clothes can be categorised as performance clothing, and they yet have a very stylish and modern feel. It can also be seen as streetwear, as they flawlessly transition from the gym to the actual streets. The clothing also embodies the Los Angeles and London ways of life, which are the cities where Beckham currently resides in, through the carefree healthy Californian spirit and the refined British tailoring, respectively. In addition, the collection, shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Alastair McKimm, is inclusive to all by offering women’s, men’s and unisex ranges.
