Pick Me Up is back for its sixth year running and this year promises to be just as good as before, if not better. The much loved graphic arts festival will once again be taking over the galleries of London’s iconic Somerset House to showcase the work of some of the industry’s elite and emerging talent in graphic art and illustration.
The 12-day festival will boast a whole range of creative methods from paper craft and screen-printing to animation. With the graphic art scene becoming increasingly popular, rising parallel to technological advancement, it is always interesting to see print art and digital art appreciated side by side.
As always, visitors will be offered the chance to watch the artists in action as they work in their makeshift studios and the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces created live at the event. Not only that, but the festival will also play host to numerous demonstrations and talks from animation companies, publishers and indie magazines as well as debates about current and future trends in the industry. You will doubtless be spoilt for choice.
Pick Me Up runs from 23rd April to 4th May.
