Immerse yourself into the melancholic and poetic world of Anohni, the British-American artist that is mostly known for her music. Nikolaj Kunsthal in Copenhagen set out to shine the spotlight of a different talent of hers with the exhibition Miracle Now. From May 24 to August 5, visitors can delve into a comprehensive collection of visual art ranging from works on paper and sculptures, accompanied by a nine-channel video installation and many fleeting documents from Anohni’s archive.

Her intelligent and critical mind and thoughts on the environmental crisis, evident in her music, becomes even clearer in her visual works. Visitors can explore the imagery, sound and text from her 1995 play Miracle Now in the shape of a video installation. Furthermore, they are invited to delve into a broad survey of Anohni’s art, collages made out of found pieces, photographs, large sculptural works and encaustic paintings. All with an underlying motivation and message, forcing the viewer to question their personal role in climate change.
Miracle Now by Anohni will inaugurate on May 24 and will be on view until August 5 at Nikolaj Kunsthal, Nikolaj Plads 10, 1067 København K, Denmark.
