Today we embark on a journey into a surreal rave fantasy following four women by the hand of Mila V, who is premiering the music video for her single Slow Burn. An impressive visual piece directed by Mila Van Der Linden and Stefania Lucchesi in which its protagonists are finding their ultimate release through a series of powerful performances. The Amsterdam-born creative continues to present this new release after unveiling her EP Slow Burn 2 weeks ago.

Having debuted with her first EP The Craze, her latest work Slow Burn is a rave-ready tale of unrequited love, merging breakbeat, electro, techno and pop vocals. S.N.C.L., You're Not Around, Phantom Lover and Slow Burn are the four tracks that make up this new offering. Mila V continues her musical journey after originally starting out as a multimedia artist and filmmaker.
The last time we talked to her at METAL was a year ago when she was premiering the video for Clear Eyes, a track from her debut EP The Craze. In the conversation we had, she told us more about producing her own music, how her spiritual connection with rave had emerged, and the influences we perceive in her aesthetics and music videos. “I think I get inspired by the people around me a lot, but mostly by just daydreaming and escaping to the world, you can create in your head,” she said back then. And there is no doubt that a fantasy world is inherent in her ecstatic wonderland.

Her new release, the music video for the title track Slow Burn, demonstrates this once again. And it’s accompanied by an exclusive editorial cover shot by Zahra Reijs and styled by Ricardo van Lachterop.
