Guy Bourdin knew it: there are many people who read fashion magazines in a detached way. For that reason he really wanted to stop them in front of an image. In 1976, for the Spring/Summer campaign of shoemaker Charles Jourdan, he recalled the surrealistic techniques of his mentor, Man Ray, to do so: Bourdin once again composed a fashion fantasy with scathing elegance that included a model riding a dolphin in a pre-digital era.
