Lush, decadent, cynical and unabashedly seductive, the vibe of ‘70s high fashion was finally challenging the preppy. For a Dior campaign found in US Vogue in 1977, the woman thus played by Lisa Taylor for Chris Von Wangenheim fitted perfectly in the zeitgeist – a perfect balance between the glamour of haute couture and the growing awareness of women’s sexuality. Her wrist caught in the jaws of a savage-looking Doberman, the image by Chris von Wangenheim's shows a sinister side of glamour commissioned by one of the most exceptional ‘maisons' in fashion. The campaign was a hit, obviously, but the Doberman may have become the true must-have accessory!
