Having written hits for the likes of BTS, Marcus McCoan is now presenting his new single after having received rave reviews from his recent live show supporting Natalie Imbruglia on her Nationwide United Kingdom Tour. His new release, Try Me, is an approach to his most personal musical project. The emerging Cornish producer/songwriter turned artist unveils a taster of his new plans and new music. 2023 promises to be a year full of exciting things to come for him. “Plenty of new music coming your way, this is just the beginning!,” he tells us.
The song comes along with a music video devoid of unnecessary elements, where the artist becomes the protagonist with the sole purpose of connecting with his audience. “This is an amazing song” or “keep going, you are on the right path,” are some of the comments we find from his followers on his YouTube channel. Some people also had the chance to see him live supporting Natalie Imbruglia. And some followers anticipate that this track will end up going viral on platforms that are now essential for many artists. “TikTok’s next vibe,” we read in one of the comments.
Paired with the glitching visuals that enhance the dark and seductive vibe of the track, the performance is also backed up by Marcus' incredible drummer and synth wizard. But the most important thing about his new work is that it shows his experience and background in different facets and roles within the industry. His capabilities as a songwriter, for example, but also his talents as a musician and a live performer in the video. Quickly earning the attention and respect of fans and industry peers, he has further two new singles Phase Me and Chemical lined up for early next year.
