Known as the ‘City of the Three Cultures’, Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural heritage that includes Christian, Muslim, and Jewish influences. The historic façades of the Piedra del Rey Moro and Museo de Santa Cruz prove to be idyllic locations for the campaign shoot, which features a group of young models in tailored pieces and deconstructed silhouettes. Highlights from the collection, however, are the high zip-up boots and elongated sweaters, sometimes paired with oversized suits as well as studded leather accessories and Marilyn Monroe graphics.
Making a surprise appearance in some images are strange inflatable white and yellow objects. Their abstract volumes offset the stone textures of the rocky surroundings and reconfigure the landscape to create a visual link between the silhouettes and colours of the collection to the natural environment. All in all, the Fall/Winter 2019 collection unites the multiple talents of young creatives who’ve been revolutionizing their own field.
