Les Benjamins continues their global expansion. Their new flagship store has just opened in Istanbul (Turkey) right at the heart of the brand. The building is designed in partnership with Dong-Ping Wong of Food NYC, a longtime collaborator of Les Benjamins, it’s no surprise that the new store accurately captures the vibe of the brand – sleek but daring.
“I personally love brutalism and contrast as it defines duality,” says Dong-Ping Wong. From streetwear to fragrances, Les Benjamins has shown us its dynamic range time and time again, and the new store is no different. Consisting of sharp edges and a stone facade, the exterior is striking in its simplicity. The boxy structure makes the building seem larger than life. The interior, however, tells a different story. Featuring dimmer lighting and purple floors, the inside feels more intimate and subdued. A custom-made vinyl player and two center speakers can also be found on the ground floor, welcoming the community to hang out.
Along with the Istanbul opening, an exclusive capsule collection is also available. The drop includes a relaxed fit long-sleeve t-shirt, short sleeve t-shirt, bucket hat and tote bag. But not only that, the store will also sell items from other brands like Nike, North Face, Y-3 and Adidas. Celebrating their new location, the items feature a logotype based on the design and the coordinates of the store.
