Japanese-American DJ tastemaker and producer Haruka Salt, Sorry Records co-founder and producer/DJ Tony G and Chinese-American rapper Bohan Phoenix are now joining forces on an energetic and rhythmic single, Papajam. The Brooklyn-based mega collaboration fuses a wild blend of techno, house and hip-hop that intertwines hints of nostalgia with future-driven sonics for an explosive hard-hitting good time. This new release demonstrates once again the power of collaborations when all the artists involved give their best and analyse how to achieve the best result, offering formulas and hits that they would not have achieved separately.
“We all stretched ourselves creatively, and the result was a magical experience, and super fun recording,” says the producer and DJ currently based in Brooklyn Haruka Salt. Having moved to New York from Japan more than fifteen years ago, she has made headway within the Brooklyn underground scene and performs at some of the most legendary clubs in town, including Bossa Nova Civic Club, Nowadays and Mood Ring, among many others. On this occasion, the artist collaborates with Bohan Phoenix, formerly signed to Warner China, and Tony G, who is a resident at The Lot Radio.

The track is being released through toucan sounds record label and includes three of the most outstanding talents of the Brooklyn music scene. It also incorporates both Mandarin and English lyrics relaying a unification of cultures and musical backgrounds in dance music. A perfect fusion of influences that flees from rigid structures or solid creation processes, betting on fluidity and feelings, thus achieving an effervescent result that surprises the listener every second.
