Givenchy has presented Riccardo Tisci’s latest work for SS17. This season is much more spiritual and full of light, says the handmade haute couture maestro. The House has set a peaceful tone for their urban and travelling men, yet paradoxically the show looked like a military parade: square shoulders, rough materials and zippers everywhere, loud dollar-bill-like patterns and a futuristic vibe was what the show was about. This is a strong street collection, full of symbolism and rigor. Masculinity and camouflage are the foundations of Givenchy’s ready-to-wear for SS next year.
