Oh, summer days, we’ve been longing for you! As many countries start to ease the general lockdown, all we can think of is getting back on track with the relaxed pace that quarantine has imposed on us. What better place to do so than the beach? Inspired by dreamy summer destinations, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a new capsule collection named Dioriviera perfect for enjoying the sand, a careless summer mood, and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.
There’s the emblematic toile de Joy reinvented in a tropical spirit or in pastel grey, blue and pink; sailor stripes, and pieces from the Dior Around the World capsule collection, which feature camouflage and other motifs reinterpreted by artist and regular collaborator of the house, Pietro Ruffo, like Monsieur Dior’s lucky star in a world map linking earth and sky, continents and constellations. It’s actually this revisited symbol of the French Maison that’s featured in the new versions of the Dior Book Tote, Saddle and Diorcamp bags, as well as in mules embellished with the name Christian Dior, and light sweaters.

Composed of different bathing suits, jewellery pieces, pareos and other beach-ready accessories – including cushions, place mats or even a deckchair –, the Dioriviera capsule collection will launch at the end of May in various pop-up stores across sun-drenched destinations of the Mediterranean sea, including Ibiza, Porto Cervo, Forte dei Marmi, Mykonos, the Yalikavak Marina in Bodrum (Turkey), and Il Riccio Restaurant and Beach Club in Capri (Italy). You can almost taste and feel the summer, now you only need some clothes to get completely ready for it!
