With the goal of uplifting and supporting creative women, the French sneaker brand Courir enlists new talent to take part in its Women Creative Lab, an initiative started last year with its pick of unique Spanish designers. Not only will the Women Creative Lab help fund the emerging designers, it will also use its social media presence, worldwide visibility and industry contacts to boost the young women’s careers.
For its second edition, the footwear brand has tapped four new talents, all with a signature aesthetic and personal, carved out story. These include: Elena Fernández, whose Barcelona-based brand About Ele aims to reduce its environmental impact by sourcing materials and producing locally; Janira Gayam a designer who started her eponymous brand with a focus on body-inclusive swimwear as well as other ready-to-wear garments and accessories; and Guataque’s duo Linna and Anna, who create vibrant and colourful bags, an organic result of a great friendship.

Each designer bursts in creativity and hand make their pieces, all whilst keeping in mind how their work can remain as sustainable as possible. With the help of Courir’s Women Creative Lab, these four designers’ work are soon to be project on a global scale, empowering young aspiring female designers all over the world.
