A few days ago, the CamperLab store in Shoreditch became the place to be when Camper unveiled its newest collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov as part of the brand’s Together project. Presented in massive flower pots and surrounded by the campaign pictures by Gareth McConnell, the three new models of Camper Teix trekking shoes, which were originally launched in 1997, drew everyone’s attention because of their revamped look.

Camper Together is a model of collaboration in which the shoe brand teams up with professionals coming from the art, industrial design, fashion and architecture worlds. This time, it was Bulgarian-born Kiko Kostadinov who faced the challenge to work on an existing model. “Looking through the Camper archives, the Teix immediately struck me with the progressive silhouette and construction. It was an honour to work on such ahead of time shoe and to be able to modernize it for today”, he stated.

Now, the three different models he presented – an all-black medium boot and two lace-up shoes, one in black and another in brown, all using Gore-Tex technology – are available at the CamperLab stores in London, New York, and Paris, as well as online. They embody the outdoors spirit for anyone who enjoys nature but follows an urban lifestyle, as well as they combine the workwear attitude and elements that have made Kostadinov’s work so recognizable. So, if you want to go for a hike in style, you now know where to go.
