It seems like yesterday when we celebrated, accompanied by Coco Capitán and her London football team, Whippets, the launch of the Spring/Summer 2020 collection created by the artist together with the brand founded in Mallorca. Although the calendar shows that a year has passed since then, the pandemic has made us lose track of time. A turbulent period in which Camper has not stopped creating, making simplicity a strong point and demonstrating that practical designs for daily life don’t have to be boring and homogeneous.
Inspired by the nautical world and the sea that many of us haven’t seen for many months, Camper dispenses with the stridency of neon colours to embrace earth tones, ocher and different ranges of brown and beige, which refer to artisan workshops and the instinct for exploration and survival. Oruga and Match models incorporate the colourful note that characterises the brand, finding its greatest exponent in Kobarah, their emblematic experimental design reminiscent of a sculpture. The Spring/Summer 2021 collection is connected to the time we are living and the unmistakable character that defines Camper.
