Being able to connect in a sincere and honest way with the public is one of the greatest challenges for an artist, and even more in a digital ecosystem amplified by the lack of human contact that we have suffered in recent months, where remaining true to oneself has not been easy. But Miami-born and raised singer Calica has been able to make interaction with her fans her greatest strength. An intimate and close relationship with which she has managed to make her fresh indie-pop proposal a meeting point free of confrontations, threats and fears. She now presents her new single, Letting Go.
It is no coincidence that Calica has more than 250,000 followers on TikTok, the social media platform that has caused a paradigm shift in how we interact with each other and with music, which is now consumed through different channels where naturalness and emotional intelligence are consolidated as fundamental factors. Since she began posting on the social network a year ago, her synth-pop universe, in which she speaks openly about human emotions and her most personal feelings, has reached five continents, and she has been recognised as one of the young promises of music on an international scale. A combination of innate talent and training, which she acquired after graduating from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, with which she embarks on an exciting journey that has only just begun.

Her new single, Letting Go, is a breath of fresh air in a music scene that seems to be too subjected to passing trends. Her catchy new song is a celebration of life, with which to forget for a moment the worries of everyday life and reconnect with oneself, through the influence of disco music. A summer anthem to feeling empowered and see our friends again after the difficult months we have gone through. Letting Go is what we need now, energy and hope.
