Taking advantage of an uncomfortable or unpleasant experience to write a song of empowerment and self-love? That’s what Bri Stauss has done in her new single, Famous, whose starting point was a very insulting and degrading conversation she had at a business meeting with a potential music manager. “The man told me that I was too old to do music, had lost my chance at becoming a star, and should just go back to school and have ten kids,” she says about the embarrassing chapter she experienced, and to which she now puts an end and end with this new track.
While driving home, the words “gonna forget you when I’m famous” kept repeating in her head. That's when she made the decision to turn a low point in her life into something fun and positive. Everything changed when she won the first season of The Bachelor Presents: Listen To Your Heart in 2020, a turning point in her musical career in which she now works nonstop, carving out a niche for herself in the industry and showing her talent to the world. From that moment of success and recognition by industry professionals, ideas suddenly began flowing effortlessly when she went into the studio to co-write it with producer Justin Glasco. They wrote most of it and took a little break in between recording vocals.

But those feelings came back after a relationship and breakup that made her feel very similar to the way the music manager made her feel. That's when she and Justin decided to turn the song into a breakup song. Now, the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter unveils the track from these experiences, Famous, channeling her feelings and vindicating self-love and self-confidence.
