While the Western world has already welcomed the new year, a big chunk of the globe has yet to do so. Which is why Bottega Veneta rings in the lunar year in a big way, quite literally, by writing “Happy New Year” or “ 新春快乐” in a colourful message along the Great Wall of China, in Bottega green and tangerine orange (a symbol of good luck in Mandarin). Not only is this a highly impressive way to celebrate new year's but they have taken this occasion to also support the conservation, renovation and maintenance of the Shanhai Pass, the starting point of the east part of the Great Wall, also called the First Pass Under Heaven.
