Olivier Rousteing, the creative designer of Balmain, might be only 29 years old, but his vision goes over any decade and even any specific time. And from his #army to his #nation, the crew of the Parisian brand is getting bigger and bigger, and now it is what we could call a pop culture phenomena inside the fashion universe.
"I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain, get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fueled on a hashtag,” explains Rousteing about his most recent collaboration with the Scandinavian brand. Leather, ropes, chains, stripes or cages are some of the components you can expect to add to your wardrobe. The metallic bright dresses, the leather jackets with lion patches or some coats that will make your hips a success in every party are undoubtedly some of the wish list items of the designer’s collection for H&M that will be impossible to ignore this season.
The couture spirit and the street wear attitude get together in an opulent way that can be easily seen in the campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti, that features, in the subway, what the designer himself calls “the squad goals:” Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Hao Yun Xiang and Dudley O’Shaughnessy side by side.
After the last collaboration with Alexander Wang, now you get a new dose of energy, fun and amusement and, being less than a moth away from the highly anticipated debut of this collection, the countdown is now for real.
