Last night, Adidas hosted an intimate dinner at Hinoki & The Bird in Century City, Los Angeles, to celebrate their recent collaboration with Pharrell Williams. In attendance were Pharrell’s friends including Khloe Kardashian and Gwen Stefani, as well as celebrated Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and adidas Creative Director Dirk Schoenberger. Guests such as Ellen Pompeo, A$AP Ferg, Samantha Ronson, Hans Zimmer and Shae Haley of N.E.R.D., dined on a menu specially created for the evening while enjoying a set of music spun by DJ D-Nice.
The collaboration between adidas and Pharrell Williams is built on a vibrant sense of optimism, highlighting the importance of equality. The campaign was captured through the lens of celebrated photographer Ryan McGinley, art directed by Lloyd & Co. and styled by esteemed fashion editor, Jay Massacret. This latest edition of the collaboration features a collection of colorful track jackets and Stan Smith shoes, both featuring a fun polka dot motif. Additional new styles from the ongoing collaboration built on a vibrant sense of optimism and the importance of equality will arrive in stores throughout 2015.
“I’m so happy to be here tonight to celebrate my collaboration with adidas beyond allowing a musician to merely design product,” Pharrell said. “I view our work together as a true creative expression of art. It also provides me the opportunity to amplify and spread the message of equality, something that has always been important and very dear to me.”
