In a busy calendar for the fashion industry – many fashion weeks take place in Europe this month-, this week we look at Berlin. The city is now celebrating its great event with fashion, which we will talk about soon. And it’s also ready to host the 5th edition of 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit, which will take place on January 18 to 19. The platform, which connects progressive minds and favours discussing new ideas and thoughts to develop the holistic idea of sustainability further, will address this issue from different approaches. You can get your ticket here!
“We are looking forward to a strong line-up of inspiring personalities on stage and the 202030 community coming together in January during Berlin Fashion Week. Strong alliances to solve the issues of our time and our future are more important than ever before,” says the organiser of the event, Magdalena Schaffrin, with whom we spoke a few months ago to learn more about this platform that continues to grow and gain relevance in the international scene. “Fashion for Positive Impact: Regenerative Transformation” was the topic of its last edition. Now they present the one they’ve gone for in their fifth call: Active Alliances for Positive Fashion.
Located right in the entrance area of the Premium and Seek trade shows, at the south entrance of Messe Berlin, Jafféstraße, the program includes live conferences with presentations and interviews, masterclasses and workshops, and collaborations with experts in the field. CEO and Co-Founder of Save the Wardrobe, Hasna Kourda, will be talking about changing our consumer behaviour in the stage program on January 18, and Nicks Ericsson will be presenting on how regenerative leather can be brought into the industry at scale in the presentation Ugg: Regenerative Agriculture at Scale.
Katya Kruk from Armed Angels, Manuel Schweizer from Oceansafe, and Essi Glomb from the Weißensee Kunsthochschule will not miss the fifth edition of 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit, in an interesting program where we also find sessions with expert leadership from Grüner Knopf, Bay City, and Natural Fiber Welding, alongside other partners. You can check all the information about the event here.
