From giants of African music such as Manu Dibango or Richard Bona to international artists like Michael Jackson or Beyoncé, Veetchy's musical palette is inspired by many creatives. The singer-songwriter born in Douala, Cameroon, started releasing songs in 2019. And since then he has performed at venues such as The Viper Room and Adults Only with Breaking Sound. He is now releasing his new single I.T.M, which is an acronym for “In The Morning.” It's a song that talks about wanting to be intimate with someone you share a deep affection with.
“When I heard the instrumental made by Okeobeats, I resonated with it a lot and it was then that I knew I had to write to it,” says the artist and author of singles like Your Love and Light A Sage. “The feeling the instrumental gave me was of passion, love, and intimacy”. It’s true that in his intimate songs we find an interesting mixture of sounds from Afrobeats, R&B, pop and dance, adding his personal stamp and achieving a unique sound. It seems that the artist is determined to continue consolidating his presence in the music scene, working hard and always speaking honestly and truthfully to his audience.

“To paint a vivid picture, the song on its own makes me think of fall/winter season, being cosy and comfortable in a thick blanket with my lover while enjoying the early morning pleasures of a good life,” says Veetchy when asked about his new release, I.T.M. The singer, who thinks of himself as a lover on the low even though he does not always show affection on the outside, is clear about his ultimate goal with his new single. “I hope that the audience that listens to this song loves it as much as I do.”
