Unbelievable locations, creatives coming from different countries, and a great commitment to highlight the talent of young fashion designers. All this and much more is what we can expect from Feeric Fashion Week, the greatest fashion week in Eastern Europe, which is now finalising the details of its next edition. From July 19 to 23, this critically acclaimed event will return to Sibiu, Romania, to be a statement about the changing of the future of fashion in the area with their project Feeric Hub, becoming the launch pad for students around the world.
Taking a step forward towards increased sustainability in international fashion, Feeric Fashion Week, the event led by Mitichi Preda whose work in promoting young creators in the fashion industry has been praised by many publications and experts, is back with a new edition. Being the first fashion week in the world to join the #FurFree initiative promoted by the Humane Society International and demonstrating that another way of doing fashion, more conscious and with a greater value for craftmanship, is possible, the four-day festival will host very different collections and projects.
The students of the College of Design in Arad, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Oradea, those of the New Bulgarian University and those of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Helwan, Egypt, will open the individual presentations with the collections studied and prepared in class.
The Faculty of Arts and Design from the Western University of Timișoara will present a collection of twenty-nine pieces in a totally atypical setting, highlighting one of the greatest strengths of the event: the incredible locations where the shows and presentations take place. Also on the first day, we’ll have the chance to see the latest works by Sophia Katsimicha from Athens Fashion Club, and Idea Moda from Bulgaria, as well as the creations of the students of the University of Arts in Belgrade.
Students from Poland, Macedonia, and Georgia will be travelling to Sibiu to present their projects as well. The Hooldra brand will return the spectators to the courtyard of The Festival Lake and the collections of the University of Art and Design from Cluj Napoca will be paraded at Colț de Rai. More than forty pieces will have the collection presented by the students from UNARTE Bucharest, and the students of the UFEG Fashion Institute in Ukraine will also show their collective collection at the event. The icing on the cake on the last day will be the Feeric Gala, where brands from different countries will participate and which we will talk about in the next few days. Feel Feeric!
