This is precisely what happened to Zev and polun, who hunkered down in Bel Air for two weeks in August 2022 with the intent to make music for other artists and, unbeknownst to them, they were actually creating their future EP. Today they’re releasing the first single from this exciting project that is the result of the joint forces between the two artists, Every Diamond.
The true inspiration for this new single, Every Diamond, comes from Zev's turbulent and ever-changing state of mental health, as we read in the press release that comes along with this latest release. The characters in this song are Zev's triggers, the imagery represents his insecurities, and the stark upright bass is his canvas, the artists explain when asked about a single that is, at its surface, about superficiality. “At the end of the day, this song begs the question, how well do you really know someone?”
