When Von Dutch Loves, the new music-led label from Von Dutch, took over the Open Air stage at Brunch Electronik Festival in Barcelona this August, the spotlight wasn’t on established names but on twenty newcomers making their festival debut. It was an unusual move in a circuit where line-ups are often built around headliners, and that was exactly the point: to give a platform to new voices and let them be heard in one of Europe’s most forward-thinking dancefloors.
Sets moved freely between styles, from hard grooves and euphoric trance to amapiano rhythms, with an audience open to the ride. The two-tier, 360-degree stage design made the experience feel immersive and collective, breaking down the invisible barrier between artist and crowd. Brunch Electronik set the tone with an opening concert by Maribou State, whom we interviewed just days before the festival kicked off. Their performance marked the start of a weekend defined by discovery, inclusivity, and community, qualities that resonated strongly with the Von Dutch Loves debut.
When speaking to Vintage Culture a few weeks ago about his Do You EP, he also reflected on the collaboration with the brand, pointing to how fashion and music can meet not as a marketing exercise but as cultural exchange. Our earlier feature on the project explored that same mission, supporting music in unexpected ways.
And because moments like these are best remembered visually, the gallery you can find below captures the atmosphere of the Von Dutch Loves stage: the nerves, the sweat, the joy, and the energy that made this debut one of the festival’s highlights. Let’s relive it together!
