It’s Rome; it’s Michele; and it’s the red-insoled Valentino — the Maison’s iconic signature — serving as the muse behind the new Rockstud Pump campaign. One of the house's most recognisable shoe silhouettes is reimagined through a timeline that bridges its heritage and identity, preserving its unmistakable geometry while introducing a renewed sense of timeless freshness, and we all know if someone can do that, it is Alessandro Michele.
Captured through the lens of Johnny Dufort and directed by Shayne Laverdière, the campaign unfolds against the mesmerising backdrop of La Città Eterna — a city intrinsically tied to Valentino’s identity. Here, marble and water quietly converse across monumental landscapes, creating a setting that feels both cinematic and eternal.
At the heart of the visual narrative lies the idea of flânerie, an effortless drifting through the city, led by an instinctive search for timeless beauty. The journey is infused with the Maison’s unmistakable spirit: bold elegance softened by an understated, almost elusive sensuality.
Originally introduced in Valentino’s fall/winter 2010 collection, the Rockstud silhouette is reimagined with sculptural pointed toes, a sleek platinum finish and the Maison's iconic red insoles. It can’t be otherwise! Now available in two interpretations, featuring either a 100mm or 40mm straight heel, the design arrives in a spectrum of shades ranging from refined neutrals to striking bursts of colour, including vivid green and powder blue.
Completing the Rockstud universe, delicate strappy sandals and elegant flats bring a refined femininity, balanced with Valentino’s signature touch of controlled irreverence.
