“If James Bond did internet shopping at TheArsenale there would be no need for Q” says its Founder and CEO Patrice Meignan. Has your car-obsessed cousin talked to you about TheArsenale yet? It’s time to get informed, because it’s quick becoming the go-to luxury retailer namely for fast cars and boats, with some iconic customers. The Bad Boys: Ride or Die actor Will Smith, closed the store for a night and bought everything. Will Smith also appeared driving their Westbrook Racing boat, as owner of the team. The brand certainly cultivates a club of high-flyers.
TheArsenale launched (and sold out of) their limited edition off-road buggy in December with Segway. Only one week after its online release the special edition Segway Villain SX-10 was already bought up, with the first vehicle being purchased by the Prince of Bahrain to be used in his private desert. For context, Bahrain’s sovereign wealth also took full ownership of McLaren in 2024, so when it comes to luxury TheArsenale is at the pinnacle.
Segway Villain SX-10 x TheArsenale features a sleek black finish with TheArsenale’s iconic yellow stripes. Modelling in the shoot are team members Patrice Meignan and Marcela Meignan, Creative Director. Presenting an elevated, futuristic version of the buggy designed by Segway this beast is set for serious off-roading. The technical machine is rare, collectable and disruptive in its fusion of adventure and luxury.
Talking to METAL, Patrice Meignan explained, “The speed isn’t the key focus — it’s all about the style. The Segway Villain is designed to make a statement, and where it’s ridden is up to the driver’s imagination, whether it’s on a private desert, a rugged terrain, or a glamorous event.”
Meanwhile for 2025, TheArsenale plan openings in Saudi Arabia and the South of France. In terms of collaborations, which seem to be a key part of the brand, they announce Sidi, the famous motorcycle boot designers, and the fashion label Faith Connexion, led by Maria Buccellati as future partners. Another highlight will be their fashion drop in Doha Design District on February 8, where TheArsenale will reveal 30 pieces of a fashion kit inspired by the Qatari desert.
