Fashion has been moving closer and closer to the centre of Tamta’s creative world, so seeing her step onto a runway somehow feels like a natural progression. Last Friday, the Georgian-born Greek artist made her catwalk debut during London Fashion Week, walking Natasha Zinko’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, Pay Per View, at Collins’ Music Hall in a camel leather-effect look.
At METAL, we’ve followed Tamta’s evolution since early 2025, when Khorumi caught our attention for how she brought her Georgian roots into a much more experimental pop landscape. Since then, reinvention has become increasingly central to her work. When we spoke with her again a few months ago around AUTOTAPINOSI, she told us, “I love stepping into the unknown and exploring.” This latest move makes that idea feel particularly relevant.
Pay Per View looked at how we construct ourselves when so much of our lives happens under somebody else’s gaze. Created in collaboration with OnlyFans, the show also introduced pieces from a limited capsule of seventeen looks launching through the platform, where Zinko is now giving subscribers access to her studio practice. That conversation around visibility feels very appropriate for an artist who has spent the past few years questioning how she wants to be seen.
Tamta has worn Zinko for years and speaks about recognising something in her work that reminds her of growing up in Georgia. Her relationship with clothing goes far beyond what happens on stage, too. Collaborations with Mugler sit alongside an increasingly distinctive visual identity that has evolved as her music has moved further away from conventional pop expectations.
That evolution continued with THE VILLAIN HEROINE and later AUTOTAPINOSI, while her performances have gradually become more immersive. London will see the next step on October 9, when Tamta returns to Colours Hoxton after selling out the venue last year. She will arrive with a new live experience and unreleased material, while another album is already taking shape for 2027.
