Less than a month away from the release of their highly anticipated album Red Future, set to drop on September 13, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, the Indigenous Hip-Hop duo hailing from the Haisla Nation in British Columbia, Canada, now present their new single and music video, No Dogs Allowed. The musical project that tore into the music scene in 2016 with unmistakable talent celebrates with its new release all people who decided to be themselves without worrying what others might think about them, putting their identity before external judgments and the fees imposed by society.
“No Dogs Allowed is for all the outcasts who were never invited to the party, those who never fell in with the 'cool kids.' It's an anthem for the weirdos that walk among us, who never really gave a fuck about your opinion of them!” Snotty Nose Rez Kids tell us when asked about their latest release, which comes along with a music video directed by frequent collaborator Sterling Larose that features appearances by several high-profile influencers, including Indigenous drag performers Ilona Verley of Canada's Drag Race Season 1; writer, producer and singer Quanah Style; and drag artist Shasha Wolfe.
This anthem encourages us to feel proud of who we are and pays tribute to all the dreamers who stayed true to themselves no matter what they had to crawl through to get there while bringing us closer to their new album, Red Future, which will be released in less than a month. And that's not all. In conjunction with the single and video release, Snotty Nose Rez Kids are set to embark on their highly anticipated Red Future tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on September 21, 2024, includes 35 electrifying shows across North America, and concludes in Toronto on December 6, 2024.
