Madrid is getting ready to welcome Pulse of Gaia, a new festival in town. On September 20th, the campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid will transform into a living, breathing ecosystem for the first edition of the event. Conceived by Zamna Group, the festival proposes a meeting point where music, art, and environmental consciousness merge into one shared experience.
At the centre of the line-up is Gorillaz, performing their only European show of the year, a highlight that places Pulse of Gaia as an essential date in the city’s cultural calendar. Surrounding this exclusive performance is a cast that moves fluidly between genres and generations: the cosmic funk of Thundercat, the underground force of Maceo Plex and Reinier Zonneveld, and the collaborative energy of Âme b2b Echonomist. Together they create a soundscape that is as eclectic as it is urgent, a reflection of today’s global scene.
Two main stages, aptly named The Bloom and The Roots, will guide the flow of the day. From experimental crossovers to late-night techno hypnosis, the curation reflects the duality at the heart of the festival: a place to celebrate growth and energy above ground, while also digging deep into the raw intensity that moves electronic culture at its core.
In partnership with Re:wild, the festival links its creative ambition to a tangible cause. Part of the proceeds from tickets will support conservation and biodiversity projects worldwide, reinforcing the idea that celebrating life and protecting it are not separate acts but interconnected responsibilities. With light installations, visual art and a strong commitment to sustainability, the festival is imagined as a temporary ecosystem, one where sound and nature vibrate together.
Zamna Group, the creative platform behind the project, has built a global reputation for immersive events across Tulum, São Paulo, Barcelona, and Dubai. With Pulse of Gaia, they anchor that vision in Madrid, offering not only a line-up of heavyweights but also a manifesto for how music festivals can evolve in times of ecological urgency. If you don’t want to miss this very unique experience, you can get your ticket here.
