Le Petit Patou bag, one of Patou's emblematic designs, has been given a unique twist thanks to the creative vision of Sita Abellán. As a multidisciplinary artist, Abellán began her career as a model and stylist, working with high-profile designers such as Jeremy Scott, Moschino, and Hood By Air. Her unique sense of style and artistic vision have led her to this new exclusive collaboration. Guillaume Henry creative director of Patou, directs the campaign images shot by Louie Banks. Abellán’s signature blue hair is carefully styled by Ali Pirzadeh.
For this collaboration, Abellán designed two versions of the Le Petit Patou bag, each featuring a different colour scheme. The first iteration comes in a stunning shade of pink, while the second offering features a bold combination of purple, blue, and red. Both bags stay true to Patou’s signature half-moon shape and have been topstitched to create a quilted effect that highlights Patou's JP monogram.
The bags also feature long fringes and can be carried over the shoulder or by hand thanks to a leather detachable strap adorned with Sita's signature snake symbol. For those of you who prefer an edgier look, a gold-tone brass chain featuring Patou letter charms and Sita's iconic snake symbol in gold, can be purchased separately. The former can be worn long, short, or even around the waist for hands-free use, highlighting its versatile design.
While Patou has undergone several transformations since its inception, it has always maintained a commitment to sustainable and ethical practices. The limited edition bags are crafted from recycled organic cotton and upcycled metallic leather sourced from premium deadstock leather in Ubrique, Spain, at a family-owned factory that produces all of Patou's upcycled leather bags.
Patou's designs are characterised by their minimalist aesthetic, clean lines, and focus on quality craftsmanship. The brand's signature style is understated and timeless, with a focus on pieces that are versatile and long-lasting. Abellán’s career is characterised by her willingness to push boundaries and challenge conventions, both in fashion and in music. Her unique perspective and creative vision have made her a powerful force in the industry, inspiring others to take risks and embrace their individuality.
