Niia doesn’t rush endings. She lets things land when they are ready, shaped by everything that came before. That is where she is now, closing her U.S. tour with two nights at Blue Note Jazz Club on April 28 and 29. Not just another stop, but a key moment in this current chapter.
Originally scheduled for February, the shows were pushed back due to the weather. What could have been a setback has turned into something bigger. Niia will now take over the Blue Note across two nights, playing four shows in total — a clear sign of the demand around her right now, but also of how committed she is to her audience.
While much of the industry moves fast, chasing visibility, Niia has built her path differently. Her work is grounded in intention, in taking her time and staying close to what feels right. That approach runs through everything leading up to this point, from V, released last October, to the more introspective single she shared in February, I Get Along Without You Very Well (Except Sometimes).
“Grateful for the mirror that taught me I deserve happiness — that I can choose peace,” she said around the release of V. It is a mindset that still shapes how she moves now, both in her music and in how she approaches this moment. Live, that connection becomes more direct. It is not just about performing the songs but about sharing them in a way that feels real. In the lead-up to these shows, Niia has been asking her audience what they want to hear, opening up the setlist and bringing them into the process.
At the Blue Note, a venue with its own history, that exchange will feel even more immediate. We will have to wait until the end of the month to see exactly what she plays, but what is already clear is that these nights are set to be special.
