Irreverent, unconventional, and mysteriously alluring: that is the Miu Miu code, and now also what defines the name of its new fragrance, Miutine. A playful twist on the French word ‘mutine’ — rebellious, mischievous or spirited — the adjective ‘Miutine’ has been conceived to embody that youthful spirit that stands out effortlessly the moment it enters a room. The Miu Miu woman breaks the rules, and so does her perfume. Miutine is not conceived as a declaration, but as a knowing glance. It is a sweet rebellion, light and full of wit; a gesture made to be savoured by oneself.
Created by perfumer Dominique Ropion, Miutine reinvents the classic chypre family with a gourmand touch. Sparkling citrus, a floral heart and an earthy base of moss and patchouli combine with bursts of wild strawberry and brown sugar, giving life to an intimate, enveloping and daring fragrance. The caramel-coloured matelassé bottle, topped with sequins, is a nod to the wit and sophistication of Miu Miu.
Emma Corrin, the non-binary actor, is the charismatic choice to interpret the role of Miutine. In a campaign directed by filmmaker Hailey Benton Gates, Corrin transforms the fragrance into a living character: a silent storm in a library, where every gesture, every look and every step breathes mischief and self-affirmation. Miutine thus becomes a visual and olfactory manifesto of independence and freedom: the essence of a woman who moves through life in her own way.
