September is here, and with it comes one of the most important months on fashion’s calendar. Before the shows take over Milan, one essential stop comes first. From 12 to 14 September, Milano Fashion&Jewels returns to Fiera Milano, opening its doors this Saturday for three days dedicated to jewellery, accessories and fashion. We never miss this appointment, and after following its evolution season after season, there are plenty of reasons to return.

More than six hundred brands from over thirty countries will participate this season, with international exhibitors accounting for almost half of the total and around one in three companies joining for the first time. That global reach extends to the people coming to discover them: more than four hundred and sixty buyers are expected in Milan, including two hundred and twenty international professionals from fifty-five countries, reinforcing a network that now reaches well beyond the traditional European fashion circuit.
Those numbers matter, but our own experience at Milano Fashion&Jewels has shown us that its real strength becomes visible once everyone is under the same roof. Every season, key players from across the industry stop here, and conversations happen constantly between brands, buyers, institutions and other professionals. The talks, presentations and dedicated meeting spaces make networking an integral part of the event, creating connections that can continue well beyond the three days spent at Fiera Milano.
Those opportunities feel particularly relevant right now. After the global fashion and jewellery market reached around €294 billion in 2025, international trade has slowed during 2026, although forecasts point towards renewed growth next year. In that context, bringing so many different sides of the industry together becomes even more valuable. Beyond discovering what is new, Milan offers brands and professionals the chance to meet, exchange ideas and find opportunities at a moment when making the right connections really matters.
Of course, business is only one side of the equation. Jewellery itself occupies an increasingly interesting position within contemporary fashion, moving away from the idea of an accessory reserved for specific occasions and becoming a more instinctive expression of identity. Milano Fashion&Jewels reflects that shift through collections spanning contemporary design and craftsmanship, alongside proposals shaped by different cultural influences.
Fashion Accessories & Apparel follows a similar logic while turning its attention towards Spring/Summer 2027. Womenswear and accessories are brought together to consider the wardrobe as a whole, reflecting the increasingly fluid relationship between categories. Slow Fashion Lab and Fabula add another perspective through projects centred on quality, craftsmanship and individual creative languages, while Fashion Sourcing connects brands and retailers with specialised manufacturers, extending the fair from what we eventually wear to how those products can actually be developed.
This September, conversations will address some of the questions currently reshaping fashion, from sustainability and changing consumer behaviour to digitalisation and the future of retail. One session will examine the Digital Product Passport, while international buyers will share perspectives on the Gulf and STAN markets. Another focus will be younger generations and the changing aesthetic codes that define how they discover and relate to brands.
This edition also marks the next step for Fashion Link Milano. When we visited in February, we witnessed the first full edition of the system connecting Fiera Milano’s major fashion events under one coordinated calendar. This September, Milano Fashion&Jewels joins MICAM, MIPEL, TheOneMilano, Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech in one location, covering everything from finished collections to materials and technology. A single ticket gives access to all six trade shows, and tickets are available here.
