In a significant move marking a new chapter for Bvlgari, the iconic Italian luxury house has named designer Mary Katrantzou as the first Creative Director of its Leather Goods and Accessories division. In a match made in design heaven, Greek fashion designer Mary Katrantzou takes the reins at the helm of Bvlgari's leather goods and accessories. Her deep appreciation for the luxury house heritage, steeped in Greco-Roman influences, perfectly complements her Greek roots. This shared background, coupled with Katrantzou's renowned creativity and design expertise, positions her as the ideal choice for the new chapter at Bvlgari, where timeless luxury, vibrant colors, and exceptional craftsmanship are the standard.
Inspired by Bvlgari's rich history and her design sensibilities, she is set to infuse the brand's renowned leather pieces with her artisanal style. From her skilled use of color  to hyperreal prints and material innovation, this fresh approach promises to elevate Bvlgari's legacy while maintaining their commitment to one-of-a-kind accessories.

Katrantzou's relationship with Bvlgari began in 2019 with her Spring/Summer 2020 couture show.The collaboration continued in 2021 with Katrantzou reimagining Bvlgari's iconic Serpenti Forever bag collection, and again in 2023 with a second capsule collection. Her successful design of a bottle for the Bvlgari Omnia perfume further solidified the creative partnership.
In her new role, Katrantzou will oversee the creative direction of Bvlgari's leather goods and accessories, including the exclusive High Jewelry collection of bags and clutches. Her debut collection will be available in Bvlgari stores globally in August 2024.
