Pharrell Williams marks a new milestone in masculine elegance with Louis Vuitton's Formal Collection for Spring/Summer 2025. This season, Louis Vuitton’s Formal menswear pre-collection seeks to bridge the gap between the back-to-work season and year-end celebrations, where classic patterns, polished tailored suits, and luxurious fabrics have been reimagined for both mid-season and mid-winter.
For this eighteen-look collection, Pharrell elevates his signature style to a classy and chic level. Modern staples such as double-breasted dusters are paired with shearling coats, a cosy cardigan with an attached shawl, and even a vicuña blouse that blends luxury with a laid-back attitude. Signature pieces include the LV Cursive evening jacket and cigarette trousers, adorned with the new Damoflage print—a unique creation by Pharrell himself.
If you caught Pharrell's last show at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, you'll recognise his love for embellishment. In this collection, he continues the trend with standout pieces like a cardigan embroidered with the new LV Cursive initials in gold, paired with buttoned cigarette trousers and patent leather loafers featuring a subtle gradient of the iconic Damier print. At the top tier, a three-piece velvet tuxedo with satin trim, a white plastron shirt, and an LV Cursive silk bow tie make an undeniable statement.
The versatile colour palette of the collection includes luminous greys and earth tones, complemented by classic black, navy, and white. As a striking counterpoint, the collection introduces an explosion of jewel-toned velvet, delicate beaded embellishments, and the innovative design codes that Pharrell introduced in his debut as Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director for menswear.
The collection is rounded out by an expanded line of leather accessories, featuring the new Taiga Avenue Messenger and the elegant Georges pouch, available in classic shades of black and grey. Footwear options like the Richelieu Varenne and Chelsea boots are complemented by accessories such as wool scarves, LV Lovers ties, and LV Legacy sunglasses, adding the final touch of sophistication.
Louis Vuitton's Formal Collection for Spring/Summer 2025 will be available in stores starting August 29.
