The Journeys Awards is a contest for emerging filmmakers that was launched by Louis Vuitton in September 2009. Last April 8th on the occasion of Rome Film Festival, the maison announced the three winners of its second edition. Japanese Yukinori Makabe got the Jury Award with “The Sun and the Moon”, French Alexis Willis got the people's Choice with “Share”, and the US Jordan Schiele got the Jury's Special Mention with “Prank”. 250 short films from over 40 countries took part in the contest. This occasion the young directors showed what the experience of an encounter means for them. The jury was made up of Luca Guadagnino, Zoe Cassavetes, Nadine Labaki, Young-Joo Byun and Emmanuelle Guillón – Communications Director for Advertising & Digital Creation for Louis Vuitton.
