Tapping into an array of talented creatives, Loewe’s new pre-collection Spring/Summer 2023 campaign celebrates bold individuality. Shot by the infamous photographer Juergen Teller, actress Chloë Sevigny, Noami Ackie and newly announced brand ambassador Taylor Rusell, as well as film director Luca Guadagnino and many others, have been captured sporting the seasonal collection as living sculptures.
Since his appointment in 2013, Creative Director and visionary Jonathan Anderson has always strived to merge art and fashion into one symbiotic practice. With this new campaign, Loewe’s collection is seen coexisting in harmony, as the imposing bags such as the Puffer Goya or the Puzzle bag are paired with an array of oversized coats, wide-leg shorts or graphic tees.
The luxury accessories are also captured in numerous mundane places, such as a showered or peacefully sitting on rocks, creating a juxtaposition of worlds. Inspired by the Chinese dynasties of Ming and Qing, the pieces from Loewe’s The Chinese Monochrome collection are given human qualities and finds life through its wearers and its environment, while keeping a playful undertone throughout.
