With a season of Fashion Weeks full of greyscales and structural aesthetics, it seems that sobriety is the cool thing to do, we never fail to see that one brand willing to break with the norm. This year is Loewe’s turn and its meme-worthy collection. Nevertheless, a very smart Fall/Winter showcase for disruptive souls.
The idea behind the collection is kinks, the evolution of the human being from its most primitive elements to the Industrial Revolution. Fashion that generates a reaction: chaos. Jonathan Anderson put on the catwalk dresses that ranged from off-the-shoulder silhouettes with overprinted lips on the torso, to shirts in metallic meshes, to garments where deflated balloons were trapped on dresses ready to embrace our body. Of course, the reaction on social media was marked by memes that questioned the quality of the collection. Nevertheless, it is perhaps one of the freshest collections we have seen in a while.
